Özet
Bu çalışmada Maârif Sâlnâmeleri, Devlet Sâlnâmeleri ve Vilayet Sâlnâmesi’nde yer alan veriler doğrultusunda Osmanlı Devleti’nin Sivas Vilayeti’nin eğitim-öğretim faaliyetleri incelenecektir. Bu amaçla Hicri 1316 (M. 1898), 1317 (1899), 1318 (1900), 1319 (1901), 1320 (1902) ve 1321 (1903) senelerine ait sâlnâmelerin incelenmesi sonucunda Sivas Vilayeti’ndeki merkezî teşkilât, mevcut okullar, bu okullarda okutulan dersler, görevli idareci ve öğretmenler, kütüphaneler, gazeteler ve matbaalar hakkında elde edilen bilgiler sunulacaktır.

Abstract
In this study, Ottoman State’s educational activities in Sivas province will be examined in the light of the data that took place in the State Yearbooks, Province Yearbooks and the General Yearbooks of Ministry of Education. In this direction, as a result of the analysis of the Yearbooks of Education regarding the years of 1316 (M. 1898), 1317 (1899), 1318 (1900), 1319 (1901), 1320 (1902) and 1321 (1903) in Moslem Calendar, the information obtained on central organization, schools, curriculum, officers and teachers, libraries, journals and printing houses in Sivas province will be presented.
